The location is perfect, just a short walk to the subway station and Nanjing Pedestrian Street. The room was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. We also enjoyed exploring the nearby street full of local food. I would recommend this hotel for a convenient and enjoyable stay.

Excellent location near famous shopping NanJingLu and close to metro station (NanJing East Rd) . Great view from the window on the Pudong commercial area (especially in the evening) ! All the skyscrapers just in front of you! Strongly recommend to book rooms with river on high floor in order to fully enjoy the view. And of course this is a very good value for the money. The deposit (that is a usual thing in Chinese hotels) was returned just in few days after our check-out .

Sometimes there was very unpleasant smell from the bathroom and the room we booked was not that big, but even all these things did not disappointed our staying at this hotel.

The location was good. Very near to Nanjing Street East mall and the subway. The concierge, Philip, was very helpful.

The receptionists/cashiers were not very friendly or helpful. The carpet was very dirty and stained.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel near the river, just a short 10-minute walk from the famous Bund. The hotel facilities were great, including a Chinese restaurant and Bank of China in the same building. Our room was clean and comfortable, with an amazing view of the city's financial district and the Oriental Pearl Tower. Additionally, the staff was helpful and friendly, and we enjoyed a delicious continental breakfast every morning.

    Cannot find any fault.

    Location. River view.

4 star price would be understandible if the hotel was fresly renovated. I would only go for full price again after re-decoration. Carpets were so old....

The location was fantastic, close to the Bund area and within walking distance to the city's main attractions. We were just a few minutes away from the vibrant nightlife and shopping on Nanjing Pedestrian Street. Transportation was convenient, with easy access to the local attraction mtr station. The hotel staff were helpful and the rooms were clean and comfortable.

    Nothing not to love.

Upon arrival we were granted an upgrade to an Executive room, excellent! The view over the Hungpu River and Pudong skyscrapers was breathtaking, especially at night when everything was lit. East Nanjing Rd. Is as close as 5 mins walking from the hotel.

    People smoking in the lobby.

Proximity to tourist attraction like The Bund, Nanjing and great view from hotel window. Accomodation is neat and clean ,hotel staff are courteous but few speak English.

    More English speaking staff.

We had a fantastic stay at this luxurious hotel. The location is excellent, being close to the subway and Nanjing Road East shopping mall. The spacious rooms and posh bathroom interiors were a pleasant surprise. The staff was attentive and helpful, ensuring our needs were met. They even promptly fixed an issue with our room's power. The hotel also offers a range of amenities, including room service, laundry facilities, and a restaurant. Free Wi-Fi and air conditioning made our stay even more comfortable. we highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay near the MRT and tourist attractions.

This hotel was obviously a "grand old lady" when she was first built. The staff, once they got to know you were excellent (although I did see some guests not getting the same treatment as I did). The location is what keeps this hotel busy as it is perfectly located - so do pay a little extra and get a room with a river view. I stayed 11 nights in total and it was like staying in two different hotels. The first 5 nights I was in Rm 1510 and - like so many people have complained before me - the room was small and the carpet was disgusting! I just dont know why they havent replaced the carpets! The rooms are quite presentable otherwise! The second 6 nights I had to be moved to another room because of a problem with a leaking conditioner (also another problem that has been continually complained about in these forums) - so was upgraded to a magnificent suite on the 17 Floor (Rm 1712). It was stunning and I felt like I was a princess! So different to my first room! Thank you Bund Riverside for the upgrade.......

Replace the filthy carpets! Fix up the air conditioners! 26 degress is too hot in those small rooms - the air should be controlled by the customers, if not, it should be set at 22 degrees!

    Good location, nice hotel

Unfriendly staff. Porter begging for a tip. Doorman not saying hello or goodbye. Also, the deposit was very high and I was not sure they would give it back to me.

The geographical location vs. The price is really good and I was a bit worried that people complain it is far away from the Bund. Totally not the case. Very strong point. Breakfast was very good which is important issue.

It is old and used. There is a big construction site next to it which can be clearly heard from the rooms on the appropriate side. Rooms could provide more space around the bed. For four stars it is not modern compared with others.
